Half an Amud a Day
Half Amud Yomi is a daily Torah learning program that makes the entire Talmud Bavli accessible — one half-page at a time.
What Is Half Amud Yomi?
Half Amud Yomi is a structured daily learning program in which participants study exactly one amud — one side of a page of Talmud — each day. Over the course of the full cycle, learners complete the entire Talmud Bavli at a gentle, sustainable pace.
How Is It Different from Daf Yomi?
Daf Yomi, the famous daily Talmud program, covers one full daf (two sides of a page) every day, completing the entire Talmud in about 7.5 years. Half Amud Yomi takes a different approach:
Both programs cover the identical text — every word of the Talmud Bavli. Half Amud Yomi simply gives you twice the time to sit with each passage, making it ideal for those who want to learn seriously without feeling rushed.
Why Half Amud Yomi?
Sustainable commitment
A shorter daily session is easier to maintain consistently over years. Small daily habits compound into extraordinary achievement.
Deeper understanding
With half the material each day, you have more time to look up a Rashi, review yesterday's amud, or simply let the text sink in.
Accessible to all
Whether you are a seasoned learner or just beginning your Talmud journey, Half Amud Yomi meets you where you are.
Community
Thousands of learners around the world are on the same page — literally. The shared schedule creates connection and accountability.
